How I Can Help

New Dogs – Old Trix takes great pride in solving the many seemingly insurmountable issues that dog owners encounter.

I have conquered many seemingly insurmountable challenges for adoptive clients of rescued dogs. Some come from shelters, some off the street (abandoned, feral, sick, and untrusting), and some were merely re-homed.

My method of training has proven successful time and again. Some behavioral problems are listed below. If you don’t see yours, don’t be discouraged. I will develop a protocol to address any specific problems, including:

  • On and off-leash training
  • Uncontrolled prey drive (chasing other animals or moving objects)
  • The Escape Artist
  • Training in public
  • Separation Anxiety
  • Fears and Phobias
  • Stranger Danger
  • Jumping on People, Furniture or Counters
  • Aggressive Behavior toward other dogs
  • Reliable Recall
  • Front Door Etiquette
  • Feeding Time Manners
  • And many more

Critical to any training process is the owner’s commitment to continue their dog’s education. Whatever gets “fixed” in the short-term, requires reinforcement over the longer-term to become a behavior. I will teach you the correct way to accomplish this follow-up and break it down into easy to follow, written instructions that you will be able to use as a reference. I will always be an available resource to you for the life of your precious pup.

Let’s get started!
